Manager of Special Events
Sami McMahan serves as the Manager of Special Events for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame & Gaylord-Pickens Museum. She is responsible for all non-Oklahoma Hall of Fame-sponsored events that include revenue generation, booking, and planning, to ensure each and every special event is a resounding success.
An avid news reader, Sami graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor’s of Art in Journalism. She worked with NBC and CBS affiliates but found her real passion in events when she was the Special Events Manager aboard a WWII battleship, for the USS Missouri Memorial Association in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
A proud native of Oklahoma, Sami moved all over the world but soon found her way back to her roots when her husband retired from the US Navy after more than 22 years of service.
In her spare time, Sami enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, Savana and Sam, and beating her husband in card games.
