The use of mobility devices while visiting the Museum is offered at no charge. Please inquire at our admissions desk, or call us at 405.235.4458 for assistance. Devices available:

Sensory Friendly Resources
Sensory Kits
Sensory kits in convenient backpacks are available for use by guests with sensory sensitivities while visiting the Museum. Each kit contains sunglasses, noise-reducing earmuffs, a visual timer, a fidget toy, and a notebook and pencil. These kits are available to borrow from our admissions desk at no charge.
Calming Room
Our Calming Room, located next to our Makerspace on the 2nd floor, is a tranquil space in which overstimulated guests are invited to relax and regulate. The space features dimmable lights, window shades, and plenty of comfortable seating, with weighted vests and a variety of tactile calming toys available inside. The Calming Room is always available during Homeschool Days and Free Family Fun, but can also be requested at any time during our regular hours by contacting our admissions desk.

Service Animals
Service animals are welcome in all public areas to ensure accessibility for visitors with disabilities. However, pets and other non-service animals are not permitted on the premises.

For your convenience, we are happy to provide transcripts for all videos in our Oklahoma Through its People gallery. Transcripts may be requested at our admissions desk.
Electronic Resources
The Oklahoma Hall of Fame offers digital resources to enhance accessibility, including a Visitors Guide, interactive Virtual Exhibits, and a Communication Aid to support inclusive engagement for all visitors.

FAQs
There are a few options for public transit conveniently located nearby. The Oklahoma City Streetcar has a stop at NW 11th Street and Dewey Avenue, less than a half mile from the Museum. Several EMBARK OK bus lines have stops on N Classen Boulevard: at the NW 23rd Street and NW 13th Street intersections. Please check embarkok.com for bus and streetcar maps and schedules.
Our free visitor parking lot, located on the north side of the building, has plenty of handicap parking spots available on the side nearest to the Museum.
The Museum has guest restrooms available on every floor. Handicap accessible stalls are available in all restrooms throughout the Museum.
Changing tables are available in the first floor men’s and women’s restrooms, as well as in the third floor family restroom.
The Gaylord-Pickens Museum consists of four levels. Galleries and exhibits, consisting of approximately 13,000 square feet, are located on the second and third floors. The Scissortail Gifts museum gift store is on the first floor, and an event space is on the fourth floor. All floors are accessible via an elevator. There is seating available throughout the Museum, and mobility devices such as wheelchairs and walkers are available upon request.
Visiting mothers are welcome to nurse anywhere in the Museum. If additional privacy is desired, please feel free to close the door to our second floor Calming Room or third floor Bridal Suite areas. Please call our front desk or ask a museum employee during your visit for additional assistance if needed.
