Mattie Barlow serves as Archives Administrator for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame at the Gaylord Pickens Museum. Her responsibilities include preserving and cataloging the historical documents of the museum’s archives and assisting researchers with using the collection.
A native of Oklahoma and born in Tulsa, Mattie can trace her Oklahoman roots to just before statehood. She grew up in Edmond, attaining her Bachelor of Arts in Global Art & Visual Culture at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2017, with a minor in Studio Art. Mattie published her first paper just after graduation in the inaugural issue of 1890: A Journal of Undergraduate Research. She is currently continuing her education at UCO, pursuing a Master of Arts in History.
Mattie resides in Oklahoma City with her husband, Joshua, and their two dogs, Kujo and Jules. When not spending her spare time with family, she volunteers regularly for fundraisers benefitting local non-profits organizations and museums.
