Mattie Barlow

Manager of Archives & Curatorial Projects

Mattie Barlow serves as Manager of Archives & Curatorial Projects. Her responsibilities include preserving and cataloging the historical documents of the Museum’s archives, assisting researchers with accessing the collection, and managing museum loans and archives acquisitions.

A Tulsa native, Mattie can trace her Oklahoman roots to just before statehood. She grew up in Edmond, attained her Bachelor of Arts in Global Art & Visual Culture at the University of Central Oklahoma, with a minor in Studio Art, and is continues her education at UCO, pursuing a Master of Arts in History.

Barlow is active in the Mountain-Plains Museum Association, serving as Networking Assistant for the Emerging Museum Professionals Committee and as State Representative for the Registrar & Collections Committee. She has served on the Oklahoma City Ballet Associate Board, Allied Arts' ARTini Committee and the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition's Momentum Committee.

Mattie resides in Oklahoma City's urban core with her husband, Joshua, and their three dogs.
