Eric Dabney

For over two decades, Eric Dabney worked as a longtime researcher and editor for Bob Burke. During this time, he rediscovered Oklahoma during interviews with Gary England, Abe Lemons, Jane Jayroe, and George Nigh. Dabney has co-authored several books and was an adjunct professor in education at the University Of Central Oklahoma. Eric began his career in public school education as a first-grade teacher in 2014, then he moved to Central Middle School where he taught 7th-grade English and Literacy. In 2019, he became the librarian of Orvis Risner Elementary School. He and his wife, Shelley, have been married for 30 years, and now live on a farm northeast of Edmond, where they raised three daughters and are happy grandparents.
