Biography
Oklahoma native and legendary civic and philanthropic leader Roxana Rozsa Lorton attended the University of Tulsa, where she also met her husband Bob, and received her degree in journalism in 1963. Her Hungarian father, Bela Rozsa, was a renowned TU Music professor and her mother, a championship golfer, was also a dedicated civic volunteer. Lorton has followed in those same footsteps to garner a remarkable list of community leadership roles, serving on such boards as the Tulsa Philharmonic, Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa Town Hall, TU Board of Trustees, and the Philbrook Museum of Art. She was awarded the Oklahoma Governor’s Art Award in 1990. She was also the Tulsa Press Club Headliner in 1997 and she and, with her husband, received the National Humanitarian Award from the National Jewish Medical and Research Center.

When Roxana Lorton was a sophomore at the University of Tulsa, she was voted Best-Dressed Woman on Campus.
