Event Set-up Technician


REPORTS TO: Manager of Museum Maintenance

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, Seasonal

LOCATION(S): Main Facility

COMPENSATION: $15.00 per hour

SUMMARY: Set-up and tear down of chairs, tables, dance floors and other equipment for events held at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum.


  • Read and understand Banquet Event Orders.
  • Read and Understand room diagrams to efficiently and adequately prepare spaces for events.
  • Move, stack arrange chairs, tables, and other equipment.
  • Janitorial duties associated with events.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Attention to detail in order to prepare spaces for events.
  • Available to work night and weekend shifts (typically 3 – 4 hours) as needed.
  • Dependable transportation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; lift and/or move 50lbs repetitiously; frequently ascend and descend stairs; and kneel, creep, crouch and/or crawl.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee will work both inside and outside; have interaction with Oklahoma Hall of Fame personnel and outside vendors; and will work alongside other personnel and alone.
