The First Gentleman of Oklahoma is truly a Renaissance man in his own right. He is a fourth - generation Oklahoman and comes from a long line of entrepreneurs . That character trait has been passed on to Wade Christensen. Wade learned the fine art of music at an early age by playing the piano, and then the trombone. He lettered in multiple sports in high school, and that interest has carried over into his adult life with cycling, water skiing, snow skiing, and outdoor sports. From a young age he has been actively involved with community events and in social organization, currently serving as the first Oklahoman to chair the National Governors Association Spouses Leadership Committee. A respected attorney and businessman, he practices in several areas of law and in a variety of business ventures, including farming, banking, ranching, equipment sales, co-ops, fuel savings, and leasing. He has been involved in heavy equipment operation, over-the-road hauling, home construction, oil and gas leasing, and private flying. Wade also is a very good cook. He has prepared many great meals for his family over the years. He will continue to explore and create new dishes; while at the same tie always incorporating the tried and true family recipes that have become tradition. Most important, and above all the rest, he always has place God, his children, and his family as his top priorities.
