About the Oklahoma Hall of Fame

Founded in 1927, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame was created to honor Oklahomans who had given outstanding service to the state during their lifetime and to provide educational programming for students of all ages. Being inducted to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame is the highest honor an Oklahoman can receive from the state. The statewide nonprofit organization preserves Oklahoma’s unique history while promoting pride in our great state.

Position Description

The Development Associate works directly with the Director of Development to assist with fundraising and stewardship activities. The Development Associate must exemplify basic fundraising skills and will assist with donor stewardship correspondence, direct mail, grant requests, volunteer management and special events.

Job Duties

· Assist the Director of Development in meeting the strategic and fundraising goals of the organization

· Assist with the preparation of meeting materials for volunteer committees

· Assist with event plans and logistics for donor stewardship and fundraising events

· Assist with the assembly and logistics of development mailings including event invitations and solicitation letters

· Assist with monthly stewardship outreach

· Orchestrate donor benefit redemption efforts

· Organize grant preparation and follow-up

· Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

· College graduate, college senior or graduate student

· Fundraising or nonprofit experience preferred

· Enthusiasm for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame’s mission to tell Oklahoma’s story through its people

Hours and Salary: 15-25 hours per week with hourly pay commensurate with experience
