John Hersley

John Hersley, a native of West Texas, was Primary Case Agent for the FBI in the Oklahoma City bombing investigation. He was responsible for managing the FBI’s case against Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols and participated at counsel table during both trials in federal court in Denver, Colorado. In 1998, he was presented the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service for his work in the bombing case. Hersley spent 30 years in the FBI and received numerous awards, honors, and commendations for his investigative, organizational, and managerial skills. In 1999, he retired from the FBI and co-founded the Fidelis Group, Inc., a private investigative and security consulting firm based in Oklahoma City.
