SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Accounting & Benefits Specialist, the part-time Accounting Associate is responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable, accounting software, and donor database for gifts and revenue received by the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide clerical support in maintaining files and records of revenue and expenses.
  • Daily recording and processing of revenue received.
  • Performs accounts receivable functions, enters pledges, tracks payments, runs credit cards, and reconciles accounts receivable files.
  • Performs accounts payable functions, reviews invoices for accuracy, and posts liabilities in financial software.
  • Maintains accounts payable vendor files.
  • Contacts vendors for W-9 forms.
  • Reconciles monthly donations in the accounting system to the donor database.
  • Prepares and distributes monthly accounts receivable reports.
  • Assists Director of Accounting & Benefits Specialist in financial audit as requested.
  • Duties otherwise assigned.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Non-profit experience preferred, strong organizational skills, and at least three years of accounting experience.

SKILLS:

  • Experience in QuickBooks.
  • Experience in Donor Database Management, Bloomerang preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, sit and stand; must have visual acuity to read printed reports and create reports. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
